Events

Events submenu

Comparative Border Studies hosts events that are open to the public throughout the academic year. Events, such as lectures and film programs, will present scholars and artists working on borders and border-related issues in public venues on campus and throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. The public is encouraged to attend these events and engage in conversation.

Film Events

Occasionally, we partner with cultural institutions and research centers to bring events related to border issues to the public. This includes an annual film event that is free and open to the public. To learn more about the current film event, please visit http://borders.asu.edu/film-event.

Colloquia Series

Comparative Border Studies  hosts a colloquia series each semester. The colloquium will provide scholars the opportunity to share their “work-in-progress” and receive critical feedback. Speakers are drawn from grant and fellowship recipients, ASU faculty, and invited guests from outside of ASU.
